Children will be given staggered mask breaks. Cabrillo’s early bird/late bird schedule is a unique use of instructional time that dedicates the entire first hour and last hour of the day to reading instruction in a small group setting of about 10 to 12 students.
We will be required to wear masks while inside the building. This means we keep our hands on our own bodies and we raise our hand to leave our seats. Remind your child about the importance of staying safe in our classroom. Please refrain from sending your child to school with peanut butter as we have a few children with severe allergies. The only thing they can drink at snack time is water. This should be in a bottle with a sports top or pop up straw (tops that screw off often make spills that we try to avoid) They will also need to bring their own water bottle each day. Your child will need one (1) HEALTHY morning snack every day! Some examples are yogurt, fruit, granola bars, etc. CHANGES IN TRANSPORTATION MUST BE IN WRITING! Book Bag Buddys should come back and forth to school everyday. HOMEWORK: Your child will be coming home with a homework newsletter on Mondays. The home work should be returned EVERY FRIDAY in their take home folder. They will also have a reading log book mark in their book bag buddy.
